Cooking Classes in the Langhe Region

Food is one of the highlights of Piedmontese culture. It would be impossible to describe the region without mentioning recipes that are landmarks of its history and reflect its tradition. Food is culture, but it’s much more, too. Tempting Piedmontese products are second to none: a wide range of “antipasti” (starters), from stuffed vegetables, to vitello tonnato and bagna caoda (typical garlic sauce);  fresh hand-made pasta like tajarin and ravioli del plin; more refined meat courses like brasato al Barolo; to finish with, delicious desserts like bunet (chocolate pudding), hazelnut cake or panna cotta.

OPT. 2 – For Groups

If you are part of a group of at least 4 people, you can take part to this 3-hour hands-on cooking classes at a local family-owned winery in the Barolo region. Discover the classical regional cuisine of Piedmont with an Italian “mamma” who will be happy to tell you some of the secrets of the local way of cooking. Cooking classes start at 10:00 a.m. in the cellar’s kitchen. You will learn to prepare a whole menu, including an “antipasto” (starter), a “primo” (first course, usually our typical home-made tajarin), a “secondo” (second course) with accompaniment and dessert.

Following the cooking class, lunch will be served in the cellar surrounded by beautiful oak barrels. Taste the food prepared in the morning and relax with some good wines!

AVAILABILITY: Cooking classes are held for a minimum of 4 participants. Maximum number of participants allowed: 12. Availability UPON REQUEST.
