P iedmont - a land of great wines, as well as food, art, history, culture, design. An unforgettable travel through a great wine region, certainly one of the best-kept secrets of the Italian tourist circuit. The Monferrato area with the town of Asti famous for the traditional "palio" (horse race); the hills producing the third great jewel of the local wine-making scenario - Barbera d'Asti; homeland of the lively Asti Spumante and the sweet and delicate Moscato d'Asti.
The Langhe - a wide stretch of rolling hills dedicated to the production of the two most sought-after red wines of the international background. i.e. Barolo, "the king of wines, the wine of kings", and Barbaresco. Alba, the "One Hundred Tower Town", where one may still breathe the same atmosphere of the old good days through narrow streets, and admiring well-preserved medieval towers and buildings.
Absolute king of the region is the White Truffle of Alba: mysterious gift of nature, unforgettable burst of scents!
And then renowned cities like Turin: Italy's first capital, jewel of baroque architecture and contemporary art, where under kilometer-long arcades you will find elegant boutiques, as well as small traditional shops; Acqui Terme, a renowned health spa dating back from Roman times, and for those in search of beauty and of the "made in Italy" Valenza, the European capital of gold and precious stones.
If you are partial to art and culture, you can step back into the past by visiting the old Roman walls, the array of medieval castles, the churches and towers that bear witness to the rich heritage of past civilizations.
Alternatively, if you are seeking the most genuine products of Piedmont's enogastronomy and you wish to bring back home with you the tastes and flavours of our territory, we will take you to visit those wineries which produce some of the world's most famous wines: Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Gavi, Moscato d'Asti, Asti Spumante, to name but a few.
